Buenos Aires, Oct 4: Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni has named a 28 man squad for upcoming friendlies in the United States, with captain Lionel Messi leading the team alongside several new faces.
Uncapped players making their debut call-ups include River Plate defender Lautaro Rivero, Racing Club goalkeeper Facundo Cambeses, and Palmeiras midfielder Anibal Moreno. Scaloni also recalled Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi and welcomed back Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, who missed September’s World Cup qualifiers due to suspension.
The squad also features key stars such as Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, Real Madrid midfielder Franco Mastantuono, Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez, and Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
Argentina will kick off their U.S. tour against Venezuela in Miami on October 10, followed by a clash with Puerto Rico in Chicago on October 13.
