JAMMU, Nov 28: MLA Jammu West Arvind Gupta conducted an extensive tour of Ward No. 13 in the Jammu West constituency, accompanied by officers of the PDD, JMC, PHE, and UEED Sewerage Department to assess ongoing development works and address public concerns.
The visit focused on expediting essential civic projects and strengthening core infrastructure in the area.
Reviewing the ongoing sewerage work throughout Resham Ghar Colony, Arvind Gupta directed officials to ensure timely and quality completion of all projects.
He emphasized that sewerage work must not cause inconvenience to residents and instructed the UEED authorities to maintain strict monitoring on the ground.
During the tour, the MLA also issued clear instructions for the immediate initiation of lane–drain construction, particularly in the Lane of Majdoor Basti, stressing that the work must be taken up on priority to address long-pending public grievances.
“Our commitment is to deliver efficient civic services and improve the living conditions of every resident. No development work will be left incomplete or delayed,” Arvind Gupta said while interacting with locals.
He also directed the PDD officials to fix damaged poles and replace faulty transformers wherever needed to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
Gupta noted that adequate electricity infrastructure is essential for the smooth functioning of households and appealed to officers to address pending issues without delay.
“People’s convenience is our foremost responsibility. All departments must work in coordination to ensure timely redressal of public issues,” he added.
Local residents expressed satisfaction over the MLA’s on-ground review and appreciated him for taking direct feedback from the community.
The tour witnessed the presence of BJP Mandal President Kaushant Prajapati, along with Anil Angral, Atul Bakshi, Sonu Manhas, Mohit Vaid, Bunty Pujwal, Parveen Gupta, Raman Kumar, Raj Kumar, and several other prominent locals who supported the inspection drive.
Arvind Gupta assured the public that all development initiatives in Ward 13 would be completed in a time-bound and transparent manner, reaffirming his commitment to transforming Jammu West into a model constituency.
