Modi Counters Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Shakti’ Jibe with Devotion to Women’s Empowerment

Telangana, 18-03-2024 : In response to Rahul Gandhi’s ‘shakti’ jibe, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that every mother and daughter embodies a form of “Shakti” for him. He emphasized that the upcoming elections would delineate a battle between those who seek to obliterate “Shakti” and those who venerate them. Launching a counterattack against Rahul Gandhi’s remarks, Modi pointed out that the nation had attributed the success of ‘Chandrayaan’ to ‘Shiv Shakti’, contrasting it with the opposition’s rhetoric of dismantling “Shakti”.

Addressing his first rally in Telangana after the announcement of Lok Sabha poll dates, Modi proclaimed that the people of Telangana would script a new history on May 13 by voting for a “Viksit (developed) Bharat”. He expressed confidence that the Congress and its allies would be decimated in the elections.

Referring to the recent INDI alliance rally in Mumbai, where the opposition declared its manifesto at Shivaji Park, Modi condemned their rhetoric against “Shakti”. He affirmed his reverence for every mother and daughter, underscoring his dedication as a devotee of Bharat Maa. Modi staunchly rejected the challenge posed by the INDI alliance, asserting his commitment to safeguarding the security of mothers and sisters.

Responding to Gandhi’s characterization of him as a ‘mask’ working for “Shakti”, Modi emphasized that his fight was for the empowerment and protection of women. He highlighted the growing support for BJP in Telangana, attributing it to the rising BJP wave as the polling day approaches.

During his speech, Modi also criticized the Congress and the BRS-led government in Telangana, accusing them of betraying the state’s aspirations. He alleged that Telangana had become an “ATM state” for the Congress, with the looted money finding its way to Delhi. Modi accused the Congress of shielding the BRS from scrutiny, citing the “Kaleshwaram scam” as an example.

Highlighting the collusion between the Congress and BRS, Modi criticized their mutual support and denounced dynasty politics prevalent in opposition parties. He alleged corruption and scams involving prominent political families, promising accountability for those who exploit Telangana’s resources.
