MoU signed for construction of Cultural Heritage Centre at village Thalwal-Jammu

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 30: A Memorandum of Understanding for Planning, Designing and construction of a Cultural Heritage Centre at Village Thalwal, Jammu by NBCC was signed today in presence of Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar.

The MoU was signed between Dr Arvind Karwani, Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) J&K on behalf of Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Mohammad Tariq, General Manager (Engg.) from National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited (NBCC).

The development of Bhadrakali Temple, located on the banks of the Nikki Tawi River in Thalwal village, as Cultural Heritage Centre is being financed by NHPC under CSR through Divisional Commissioner Office, Jammu.

The total cost of the project is Rs 660.41 lakh. The Project envisages preserving the history and traditions, while providing a tangible connection to the past generations and allowing future generations to understand and appreciate their cultural roots.

The Divisional Commissioner asked the executing agency NBCC to expedite the tendering process to start the project at the earliest.
