Jammu,21-03-2023 : Like the grand Shri Ram temple under construction in Ayodhya, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine situated on the Trikuta hill is also the center of faith and reverence for crores of Hindus. Today, under the guise of development and facilities, conspiracies are being hatched to spoil the mythological form of Yatra. This was said by Shiv Sena’s (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) Jammu and Kashmir unit chief Manish Sahni.
While addressing a press conference at Jammu party office today, Shiv Sena state leaders have demanded to restore the mythological form of Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Yatra and build a yatra corridor on the lines of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and Ramayana Circuit. State Chief Manish Sahni said that important places related to Lord Ram are being connected by road and rail under the Ramayana Circuit, on which the entire Hindu society is proud, On the other hand, conspiracies are being hatched to spoil the mythological form of Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Yatra.
Sahni said that
“First, in the guise of rail and road development, the “Kol Kandoli” temple at Nagrota, which is said to be the first darshan of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra, and the second darshan Deva Mai temple were separated from the yatra route. Now preparations are being made to completely spoil the mythological form of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra with the proposed ropeway project from “Dharma Nagri Katra to Sanjichhat”.
Sahni said, “Devotees traveling to Mata Vaishno Devi through the ropeway from Katra to Sanjichhat will be deprived of visiting holy places like Banganga, Charanpaduka, Ardhkumari, Garbhjuna.” ,
On the other hand, the proposed upcoming ropeway project on Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra route is threatening to render jobless to thousands of people of Hindu, Muslim and Gujjar community who are providing their services on the traditional route of Yatra. Moreover the economy of Jammu and Kashmir is largely dependent on Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra ,adding that about 50 to 60 percent of the tourists visiting here to go towards other tourist places including Kashmir.
Sahni appealed to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, who is the chairman of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, the auspicious occasion of the holy Navratras, the plan to build the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi corridor should be announced.
Sahni said that he has no objection to development, but if in the name of development, spoiling of religious faith and form of Yatra cannot be tolerated at all. On this occasion president Mehila wing Meenakshi Chibber, sr vice president Sanjeev Kohli , President Kamghar wing Raj Singh,Pawan Singh , Mangu Ram were present.
