Nagesh Trophy 2025: CAB Haryana Crush Opponents to Seal 10-Wicket Victory

Haryana and Odisha showcase clinical performances in the opening matches of the Men’s National T20 Cricket Tournament for the Blind.

Haryana, Dec 02 : CAB Haryana and CAB Odisha began the Nagesh Trophy 2025 on a high note, producing emphatic 10-wicket victories in Jabalpur on Monday, signaling their intent in the 8th edition of the Men’s National T20 Cricket Tournament for the Blind.

In the first match, CAB Haryana overpowered CAB Pondicherry, who were bowled out for just 63 runs in 10.2 overs. Skipper Deepak Malik (B3) led the bowling attack with 2/14 in 3 overs, supported by Parveen Kumar Sharma’s 3 wickets, ensuring Haryana’s dominance.

Haryana’s batting response was swift and decisive. Deepak Malik (49* off 26) and Rohit Sharma (9* off 8) chased the total in just 5.2 overs, securing a commanding 10-wicket win. Malik’s all round performance earned him the Player of the Match award, highlighting his impact on the game.

In the second fixture, CAB Odisha delivered another dominant 10-wicket performance, defeating CAB Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh managed 111/8 in 20 overs, aided by 39 extras, but Odisha’s disciplined bowling, led by Dhanapati Gauda (3 wickets in 4 overs), kept the opposition under control.

Odisha’s openers Dhanapati Gauda (49 off 36) and Lalprasad Soren (53 off 34) chased down the target in 11.2 overs without losing a wicket, ensuring a flawless victory. Gauda’s all-round excellence earned him the Player of the Match award.

These wins set a strong precedent for both Haryana and Odisha as the league stage of the Nagesh Trophy 2025 progresses, showcasing the skill and competitiveness of blind cricket in India.

Earlier, Andhra Pradesh had claimed the 7th edition of the tournament in February 2025, defeating Delhi in a commanding final, underlining the growing standards and excitement of the competition.
