Mumbai, Oct 2 : The Government of India’s Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) has launched the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0 from November 1 to November 30, 2025, aimed at enhancing the digital empowerment of pensioners. The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with Public Sector Banks (PSBs), government departments, and Pensioners’ Welfare Associations across the country.
As part of this nationwide campaign, the State Bank of India (SBI) a pioneer in the banking sector is organizing DLC camps in 115 cities and towns across India to assist pensioners in generating their life certificates digitally.
The SBI New Delhi Circle, under the leadership of Chief General Manager Shri Debasish Mishra, inaugurated the campaign at the circle level. The initiative will run throughout the month across all SBI branches in Delhi, NCR, Western Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Alongside DLC services, the camps will also feature free health check ups, cyber security awareness sessions, and wealth management programmes for senior citizens.
The Digital Life Certificate (DLC) initiative, introduced to simplify the pension verification process, allows pensioners to submit their life certificates digitally using two factor authentication eliminating the need to physically visit banks or treasury offices each year.
