Srinagar, Oct 23: On the opening day of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly session, Poonch MLA Ajaz Ahmed Jan drew attention to the ongoing violence in Palestine, highlighting the tragic deaths of innocent civilians, particularly children.
During the Obituary Reference, Jan appealed to the Hon’ble Speaker to include the issue of Palestinian casualties in the Assembly proceedings. Expressing deep concern over the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza, he urged the House to collectively condemn the atrocities being committed against civilians.
“This House must not remain silent on the massacre of children and civilians in Palestine,” Jan emphasized, calling for a unified legislative voice of compassion and justice from Jammu and Kashmir’s lawmakers.
