NEW DELHI, Jan 03 : The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will hold a parliamentary party meeting in the national capital on Tuesday morning to review the Union Budget 2026–27 and finalise its political and public outreach strategy.

Scheduled for 9.30 am, the meeting will bring together senior NDA leaders, Union ministers and Members of Parliament. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address the gathering. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP president Nitin Nabin and other alliance leaders are also likely to attend.

The meeting comes two days after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Budget in the Lok Sabha.

Budget briefing and communication push

According to sources, Sitharaman will brief NDA lawmakers on the key proposals and long term vision outlined in the Budget, with an emphasis on how the measures support the government’s goal of achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047.

A central focus of the discussions will be communication and coordination. Leaders are expected to be guided on effectively conveying the Budget’s priorities, benefits and sectoral initiatives to the public. An outreach framework is likely to be outlined to ensure consistent messaging across states and constituencies.

The Union Budget 2026–27, Sitharaman’s ninth, is structured around three core kartavyas enhancing competitiveness, fulfilling aspirations, and ensuring inclusive growth that reaches all regions and communities.

Prime Minister Modi had welcomed the Budget in Parliament on Sunday, describing it as a roadmap filled with opportunities that would inject fresh momentum into India’s reform journey.

He said the Budget would translate present day aspirations into reality while laying a strong foundation for the country’s future, particularly as India moves towards the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.

Referring to the Finance Minister’s remarks, Modi termed the Budget a “Youth Power Budget”, highlighting initiatives aimed at nurturing leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship.

He pointed to measures spanning healthcare infrastructure, allied health professions, the orange economy, AVGC sectors, tourism, and the Khelo India mission, saying they would create new avenues for young Indians to grow and lead.
