Jammu: A new team of Warehouse Nehru Market, the largest wholesale grain market of Jammu and Kashmir, has been formed for 2024-26 on Sunday. The month-long election process was completed on Sunday with the formation of the entire team under the leadership of Deepak Gupta, who was elected unopposed for the post of President Traders Federation Ware House Nehru Market.
Voting was held for the post of General Secretary of the Federation on Sunday. Abhimanyu Gupta and Sham Lal Langar were in the fray for the post of General Secretary. Out of a total 565 members of the Federation, 509 members exercised their franchise out of which Abhimanyu Gupta got 266 votes and Sham Lal Langar got 241 votes. Two votes were found canceled. Thus, Abhimanyu Gupta was declared victorious for the post of General Secretary by 15 votes. On other posts of the Federation, Dheeraj Mahajan for the post of Senior Vice President, Vishal Gupta for the post of Jr. Vice President, Rahul Gupta for the post of Secretary and Nitish Gupta for the post of Treasurer had already been declared winner unopposed.
The election process was presided over by the Election President Rajesh Bhagotra along with Atul Khanna, Krishan P Gupta, Sudesh Gupta and Sunil Kumar Gupta for the term 2024-26.
