NHAI Ceases Operations at Thandikhui Toll Plaza, Introduces Toll Rate Revisions at Ban and Lakhanpur Plazas

Jammu, 26-01-2024 : The Thandikhui Toll Plaza in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district has been officially closed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). This decision, undertaken by the NHAI, is anticipated to bring significant relief to commuters traveling between Jammu, Samba, and Kathua. The closure of the Thandikhui Toll Plaza is accompanied by adjustments in the toll collection operations at other key plazas in the region.

In an official order issued by Y P S Jadon, NHAI Project Director, PIU-Jammu, it was stated that the influence length of both the Lakhanpur and Ban fee plazas has been extended. This strategic extension aims to eliminate the necessity for the Thandikhui fee plaza, streamlining the toll collection process for the convenience of commuters.

Effective from 8 am on January 26, the collection of toll from vehicles at Thandikhui has been terminated. However, in conjunction with the closure of Thandikhui Toll Plaza, the NHAI has revised the toll rates to be collected at the Ban and Lakhanpur toll plazas.
