NIA Conducts Raids in Terror Conspiracy Case in Poonch, J&K

Operations target locations linked to 2024 arms and ammunition recovery; chargesheet filed against three accused last year

Jammu, Mar 12: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at multiple sites in Poonch on Thursday as part of an ongoing probe into a terror conspiracy case, officials said.

The operations targeted Mohalla Khorinar and Hari-Surankote, linked to a 2024 incident in which arms and ammunition, including a pistol and two grenades, were recovered from two individuals in the border district.

The NIA had previously filed a chargesheet in April 2025 against the accused  Abdul Aziz, Munawar Hussain, and their Pakistani handler Nazir Hussain underlining the cross border dimensions of the conspiracy.

Officials said the raids aim to gather further evidence and disrupt any remaining networks linked to the terror plot.
