Jammu, 07-05-2025: In a significant administrative development, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has entrusted IAS officer Nitish Rajora with an additional key responsibility. Rajora, a 2021 batch officer of the AGMUT cadre currently serving as Director Information, J&K, has now been assigned the additional charge of Director, Defence Labour Procurement, Jammu and Kashmir.
According to an official order issued by M. Raju, Commissioner Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department (GAD), this move has been made “in the interest of administration.” The order specifies that Rajora will hold the additional charge alongside his current responsibilities until further notice.
The post of Director, Defence Labour Procurement is a strategically important role that coordinates labour-related functions in defence establishments operating within the region. Rajora’s appointment to this position reflects the administration’s confidence in his administrative acumen and capability to manage multifaceted portfolios simultaneously.
