In a press note (ECI/PN/132/2024) released on August 31, 2024, the ECI emphasized that all media platforms—including print, electronic, and digital—along with polling agencies and individuals, must refrain from publishing or broadcasting exit poll results before 6:00 PM on October 5, 2024. This directive is in strict accordance with Section 126A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
