NEW DELHI, Oct 23: The Northern Command recently concluded a four day tri service multi domain exercise aimed at enhancing India’s preparedness for future warfare, officials said.
The exercise simulated intense futuristic conflict scenarios, providing commanders, staff, and troops with valuable lessons and setting new benchmarks in next-generation warfare readiness. It tested responses across cyber, space, electromagnetic, and cognitive domains, involving CAPFs, sister services, central government agencies, and private sector participants, highlighting a whole of nation approach to evolving security challenges.
Indigenous defence industry participation showcased progress in jointness, Atmanirbharata (self-reliance), and technological innovation. Troops trained in forward areas to counter cyber intrusions, spectrum saturation, electronic jamming, spoofing, and cognitive attacks.
Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Northern Army Commander, emphasized the need for leveraging niche technology and continuous innovation, stating that a whole of nation approach is essential to protect territorial integrity and critical assets while enabling punitive action against adversaries if necessary.
Initiated during the Samvad dialogue in Mathura on October 4, the exercise underscored that future warfare readiness relies on open-mindedness, teamwork, and strategic foresight, ensuring that the Northern Command is now better equipped to face emerging threats with multi-domain synergy.
