KISHTWAR, MAY 05: The office of Chairperson District Development Council (DDC) Kishtwar, Pooja Thakur, and Vice-Chairperson, Saima Shabir Lone started to function here in Government accommodation near the DC Office Complex.
Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Sharma, BDC Chairpersons, DDC members, and other senior officers welcomed the chairperson and Vice-Chairperson at their newly established Office.
The DDC Chairperson, while speaking on the occasion, hoped that the developmental process on the grassroots level will get a fresh boost with the establishment of a 3-tier PRI System in the District. She sought cooperation from District Administration for taking forward the developmental activities in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner assured all possible support for the smooth functioning of the District Council and hoped that the new office will act as the bridge between the people and Administration in realizing the aim of decentralized planning and management, besides ensuring effective coordination and communication.
