Omar Abdullah Begins Pre-Budget Talks With Jammu Stakeholders

Chief Minister seeks grassroots inputs to shape people-centric and balanced Jammu and Kashmir Budget

Jammu, Jan 27: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday engaged with a broad spectrum of stakeholders from the Jammu Division as part of the government’s preparations for the upcoming Budget, officials said.

According to a post by the Office of the Chief Minister on X, the discussions centred on crafting a people focused Budget that aligns with regional priorities, boosts infrastructure development, strengthens livelihood opportunities and promotes equitable growth across the Union Territory.

The consultations were aimed at gathering on ground feedback to ensure that the aspirations and development needs of the Jammu region are effectively reflected in the Budget proposals. The exercise is part of the government’s broader effort to ensure inclusive planning and balanced regional development in Jammu and Kashmir.
