Omar Abdullah Refuses Political Commentary on Ram Temple Consecration

Srinagar, 10-01-2024 : National Conference Vice President, Omar Abdullah, refrained from making any comments on the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, stating that he does not want to engage in politics regarding the issue. Abdullah emphasized that this is not the first nor the last inauguration, and previous inaugurations have taken place. He asserted that if someone wishes to inject politics into the matter, it is their choice, but he personally will not engage in politics over the issue.

When questioned about attending the consecration ceremony if invited, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir expressed confidence that he would not receive an invitation. Abdullah questioned why he was being asked about attending when it is uncommon to go uninvited. He highlighted that those who were meant to be invited, such as industrialists, cricketers, and film stars, have already received invitations, and his name is not on the list. Abdullah concluded that if there is no intention to invite him, there is no need to delve into hypothetical scenarios.
