Omar Abdullah Slams PDP, Accuses Party of Misleading the Public

Speaking at a rally in Budgam, Omar Abdullah alleged that the PDP continues its alliance with the BJP and misleads people with false promises, urging voters to prioritize development and youth employment.

Budgam, Nov 7: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday launched a sharp attack on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), accusing it of deceiving the public while maintaining its alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Addressing a public gathering in Budgam, Abdullah emphasized that electricity consumption should only be calculated where meters are installed. “If a meter is unnecessary, it should not be installed, and bills should reflect actual usage,” he said.

Reiterating his government’s promise of providing 200 free electricity units, Abdullah urged people not to fall prey to the PDP’s “political gimmicks.” He alleged that PDP leaders installed meters in government offices but failed to extend the benefits to ordinary citizens.

He also said that his administration remains committed to supporting financially vulnerable sections of society, unlike the PDP, which “has repeatedly misled the people, ignored its past mistakes, and even arrested individuals while remaining aligned with the BJP.”

Highlighting the National Conference’s focus on development, job creation, and public welfare, Abdullah urged voters to make a conscious choice in the upcoming elections. “Your decision will determine the governance and progress of the next four years,” he said.
