Mumbai, Nov 20 : Social media circles are abuzz as influencer Orhan Awatramani popularly known as Orry has been summoned by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) in connection with a high profile ₹252-crore drug investigation.
According to sources, Orry has been asked to appear before the ANC’s Ghatkopar unit at 10 am on Thursday for questioning. His name has emerged during the ongoing probe into a large scale drug trafficking operation that the Mumbai Police are actively unraveling.
This is not the first time the internet sensation has landed in controversy linked to substance-related matters. Earlier this year, Orry and seven others were booked in Jammu and Kashmir for allegedly consuming alcohol at a hotel in Katra near the Vaishno Devi shrine an area where alcohol and non-vegetarian food are prohibited. The incident led to an FIR for hurting religious sentiments and drew sharp scrutiny from authorities.
Who is Orry?
Orry’s rise to fame is anything but conventional. Without ties to Bollywood or corporate leadership, he has still secured a place among Mumbai’s most recognisable pop-culture figures. His quirky personality, striking social media presence, and puzzling answers to the popular question “What do you do?” have turned him into a Gen-Z icon whose persona blends influencer theatrics with performance art.
The son of businessman Suraj K Awatramani who has interests in real estate, hospitality, and beverages Orry seamlessly moves through Mumbai’s elite social circles. From film promotions to fashion events and celebrity parties, he often becomes the centre of attention, generating viral moments without effort.
Orry’s appearances on chat shows have only added to his cult like online following, with his offbeat humour and flamboyant style resonating widely across social media platforms.
As the ANC continues its probe into the ₹252-crore drug network, all eyes are now on Orry’s questioning and the developments that follow.
