Panthers Slam Administration for Sealing Party Office

J&K National Panthers Party's Fight Against Discriminatory Acts by UT Administration: Vilakshan Singh Speaks Up

Jammu Feb 20: Vilakshan Singh President of J & K National Panthers Party has strongly condemned the sealing of 30- B Gandhi Nagar Jammu which was being used as the party office of J & K National Panthers Party and as the residence of Mrs. Jay Mala after the death of her husband, Prof. Bhim Singh founder of J&K National Panthers Party.

Singh said that the sealing of the office of the J & K National Panthers Party is an illegal, immoral, inhuman, discriminatory, and dictatorial act on the part of the UT administration. Singh said that there is no law in the country that empowers the government to evict an occupant without issuing notice to the concerned.

Singh also apprised the media that the government has allotted government accommodation to even unrecognized political parties. Two such parties are Apni Party and Peoples Conference. He questioned if the government accommodation can be provided to unrecognized parties then why the same is being denied to J & K National Panthers Party.

He said that Mrs. Jaya Mala used to reside at 30-B Gandhi Nagar Jammu. She has been rendered homeless by the government without adopting the due process of law. He said that the valuable assets of Mrs. Jaya Mala and the party are lying in the premises sealed by the government. He expressed doubt that even some of the valuable assets of the party and Mrs. Jaya Mala might have been stolen by the concerned officers. Singh said that BJP is under tremendous pressure after Harsh Dev Singh announced rejoining J&K National Panthers Party. He said that BJP wants to crush the opposition in the entire country so that the genuine voice of the people is suppressed and there is no one to question the dictatorial attitude of the government. He said that by resorting to such cheap tactics, BJP won’t be able to demoralize J&K National Panthers Party. He said that the party shall get stronger with such kind of cheap tactics being adopted by the administration. He said that notwithstanding all illegal pressure being put by BJP through the administration, J&K National Panthers Party shall continue to serve the poor and downtrodden. He also said that legal action shall also be taken against the administration for their illegal act.
