Mumbai, Jan 19: Nearly six months after the sudden death of actor and dancer Shefali Jariwala, her husband Parag Tyagi has broken his silence in a recent podcast appearance, claiming that black magic may have been involved in her untimely passing.
The couple, who met in 2010 and married in 2014, shared a close and supportive relationship. Tyagi described Shefali as his “strength” and revealed that he had sensed something was wrong with her before her death.
“Shefali had fasted for pooja and ate afterward. People spread half-baked information, claiming she took medicines on an empty stomach, which was not true,” Tyagi clarified.
Speaking on Paras Chhabra’s YouTube podcast, Tyagi said, “I don’t just feel it, I know something was done. Where there is God, there is also evil. I sensed it physically too. Just by touching her, I could understand something was wrong.”
While Tyagi insists he cannot name anyone, he emphasized that the experience reinforced his faith and prompted him to increase his prayers and religious rituals.
Shefali Jariwala, famed for her iconic appearance in the remix track ‘Kaanta Laga’, passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 42. Initial reports suggested cardiac arrest as the cause of death, though speculation and rumours circulated widely in the months following her passing.
