Patanjali Gurukulam Marks Successful Conclusion of 8th Annual Celebration

Swami Ramdev emphasizes revival of ancient Gurukul tradition while nurturing global leadership in students

New Delhi, Oct 12 : The eighth annual celebration of Patanjali Gurukulam, under the Bharatiya Shiksha Board, was held at the grand auditorium of Patanjali University, highlighting the institution’s commitment to holistic education rooted in Sanatan Dharma.

Addressing the gathering, Patanjali Yogpeeth’s Paramadhyaksha Swami Ramdev said, “Ancient Gurukuls imparted not only knowledge but moral integrity, character, and righteous conduct. Patanjali Gurukulam continues this Rishi tradition, preparing students to become global leaders.” He shared that children from across India, from ages three to five up to Class 12, are pursuing education at the Gurukulam.

Swami Ramdev highlighted the teachings of saints such as Maharshi Dayanand, Lord Basavanna, Sant Dnyaneshwar, and Sant Kabirdas, emphasizing unity, coexistence, and the universal truths of Sanatan Dharma.

Junapeethadheeshwar Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avadheshanand Giri Maharaj called Patanjali Gurukulam “a unique laboratory for preserving India’s timeless culture, heritage, and Vedic values,” while Acharya Balkrishna praised the Gurukulam for fostering strong moral values alongside academic excellence.

Swami Chidanand Muni Ji Maharaj of Parmarth Niketan said, “The eternal truths of India’s history must be revealed to future generations, and Patanjali Gurukulam plays a vital role in this endeavor.” Mahamandaleshwar Swami Harichetananand Ji Maharaj lauded Swami Ramdev as a key link in the revered lineage of saints spreading Sanatan Dharma worldwide.

The event included prize distribution for academic, sports, and scripture competitions. Students from Patanjali Gurukul Jwalapur, Patanjali Kanya Gurukulam Devprayag, and Patanjali Gurukulam Haridwar performed cultural programs, dances, and plays, leaving a deep impact on the audience.

The ceremony was also attended by Sadhvi Bhagwati, Dr. N.P. Singh (Executive Chairman, Bharatiya Shiksha Board), Mata Gulab Devi, Dr. Yashdev Shastri, and several distinguished guests, who blessed the students and inspired them to uphold India’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
