JAMMU, Sept 1: The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has unveiled a new list of constituency in-charges in preparation for the upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. This latest announcement is part of the party’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its organizational structure and ensure effective leadership across key constituencies in the region.
According to an official statement issued by the PDP, several key appointments have been made. Haji Ghulam Ahmad Khan has been designated as the in-charge for the Beerwah constituency, a significant area known for its diverse electorate. Tafazul Mushtaq has been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the Khanyar Assembly segment, a vital constituency within the heart of Srinagar that holds considerable political weight.
In North Kashmir, Mohammad Afzal Wani has been appointed as the in-charge for the Trehgam constituency, an area known for its political activism and strategic importance. Tahir Qadri will take charge of the Sonawari constituency, which has been a focal point of political engagement in the past elections. Altaf Ahmed Malik has been named the in-charge of the Rafiabad constituency, another key area in North Kashmir. Additionally, Advocate Mir Azad Parwaz has been appointed as the in-charge for the Handwara Assembly segment, a constituency with a history of dynamic political contestation.
