18-11-2021: Today a peaceful protest against Police Administration was held at Talab Market Channi Himmat in ward no.51 regarding the opening of decades-old Pwd road linked from channi Himmat to Channi Rama.
The protest was led by Rajkumar Tarkhan (General Secretary BJP OBC Morcha JK-UT, Corporator Ward No.51 Channi Himmat, Jammu). A large number of Locals and prominent participated in this protest. The people raised their demand that the road joining Channi Himmat to Channi Rama should be opened for the locals. They also said that it is unfair and unjust on the part of the police administration to close a busy road that has always been used by the locals.
Former Dy CM and MLA Gandhi Nagar Constituency Kavinder Gupta and BJP District President Jammu Vinay Gupta reached on spot and met with the protesting locals and contacted the administration to provide relief to the agitated people. They assured the protesting people that early redressal of their demands will be done.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu Sh. Anshul Garg IAS deputed SDPO East Sajjad to talk with the aggrieved people and pacify them for a fruitful outcome and he also requested to protesters to meet him tomorrow in his chamber where everything needful will be done to resolve the issues of the locals.
