PM Modi Calls Voting an Essential Civic Responsibility

Prime Minister calls on citizens to actively participate in democratic processes on National Voters’ Day.

NEW DELHI, Jan 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday emphasised the importance of public participation in democracy, urging citizens to exercise their right to vote and contribute to the nation’s progress.

In a message shared on X to mark National Voters’ Day, Modi said the occasion reaffirms the country’s commitment to democratic values and the collective responsibility of citizens in strengthening the system.

The Prime Minister also praised the Election Commission of India for its sustained efforts in ensuring free and fair elections and reinforcing public trust in electoral processes.

Calling voting a key responsibility, Modi said citizen participation plays a vital role in shaping the nation’s future and strengthening the foundations of a developed India.

National Voters’ Day is observed every year on January 25, commemorating the establishment of the Election Commission of India.
