PM Modi Extends Greetings on the Auspicious Conclusion of Chhath Puja

Prime Minister hails devotees’ faith and the festival’s deep cultural significance, wishing happiness and prosperity for all

India, Oct 28 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended warm wishes to citizens across the nation on the auspicious conclusion of Chhath Puja, a revered four-day festival dedicated to the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya.

In a post shared on X, PM Modi wrote, “Today, the auspicious conclusion of the great festival of Chhath took place with the morning arghya offered to Lord Sun God.” He highlighted that the festival reflects the divine essence of India’s grand cultural and spiritual traditions.

The Prime Minister also expressed his admiration for devotees who observed fasts and performed rituals with deep devotion. “I respectfully bow down to devotees observing fast,” he stated, extending prayers for their happiness, prosperity, and well-being.

PM Modi further said, “During this four-day ritual, we witnessed the divine glimpse of our grand tradition of Chhath Puja. May the boundless grace of Chhathi Maiya illuminate everyone’s lives with eternal light and positivity.”

His message resonated deeply across the country, where millions celebrated the festival with unwavering faith and joy.

Chhath Puja, one of India’s most spiritually significant festivals, is celebrated primarily in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and parts of Delhi. Devotees offer arghya to the setting and rising Sun, praying for health, prosperity, and gratitude toward nature.

This year, too, riverbanks and ghats across the nation were adorned with lamps and hymns, symbolizing the enduring bond between tradition, devotion, and environmental harmony.
