PM Modi Extends Greetings to the Nation on Gurpurab and Kartik Purnima

Prime Minister hails Guru Nanak Dev’s timeless teachings and prays for peace, prosperity, and spiritual harmony on the twin festivals

New Delhi, Nov 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended heartfelt greetings to the nation on the auspicious occasions of Gurpurab the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism and Kartik Purnima, celebrated as Dev Deepavali in many parts of India.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister paid tribute to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s enduring message of compassion, equality, humility, and service.
“The life and message of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji continue to guide humanity with timeless wisdom. His teachings of compassion, equality, humility and service are very inspiring,” Modi wrote.

“Greetings on his Parkash Purab. May his divine light keep illuminating our planet forever,” he added, invoking the Guru’s vision of universal harmony and truth.

Extending his greetings on Kartik Purnima, the Prime Minister described it as a day deeply connected with India’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
“Heartiest greetings of Kartik Purnima and Dev Deepavali to all my family members across the country. May this divine occasion, connected to Indian culture and spirituality, bring happiness, peace, health, and prosperity to everyone,” Modi said.

He further wished that the sacred traditions of holy baths, charity, aarti, and worship continue to illuminate lives and spread positivity.

The two festivals Gurpurab and Kartik Purnima are celebrated with great devotion across the country, marking a time of reflection, gratitude, and spiritual renewal.
