PM Modi inaugurates Shanti Shikhar, lauds Brahma Kumaris for spreading message of global peace and harmony

The Prime Minister calls the newly inaugurated Shanti Shikhar Academy a “movement for world peace,” praising the Brahma Kumaris for embodying India’s timeless values of harmony, compassion, and spiritual strength.

New Delhi, Oct 01 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the Brahma Kumaris’ grand Shanti Shikhar Academy for Peaceful World in Nava Raipur, describing the organisation as a living bridge between India’s ancient spiritual wisdom and the modern world’s pursuit of peace and harmony.
Addressing thousands of white-clad sisters, devotees, and international delegates at the academy, the Prime Minister reflected on his long-standing association with the Brahma Kumaris, calling Shanti Shikhar a beacon of universal peace for generations to come.
“I have been associated with you for several decades,” said PM Modi, recalling his participation in the 2011 Future of Power summit in Ahmedabad and the 2013 Prayagraj gathering. “Your efforts embody service beyond words. The affection of Janaki Devi and the spiritual discipline of every sister here inspire deep gratitude.”
Greeting the gathering with “Om Shanti,” he explained, “Om represents the Creator and the cosmos; Shanti signifies peace for the entire world. The Brahma Kumaris’ way of life your conduct, compassion, and commitment—is the greatest form of religion and penance.”
The Prime Minister lauded the organisation’s role in preserving India’s spiritual essence. “We see Shiva in every living being. Self-control leads to self-realisation, and self-realisation brings self-peace. Every ritual that ends with prayers for world welfare reflects our culture’s core belief in Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam One World, One Family.”
Highlighting India’s global humanitarian role, he said, “Whenever the world faces a crisis, India steps forward as a reliable partner and first responder. In the face of environmental threats, we are the voice of nature protecting rivers, worshipping water, and safeguarding the planet for future generations.”
He linked the ethos of the Brahma Kumaris with national missions like Mission LiFE and One Earth, One Family, One Future, asserting that “Institutions like Shanti Shikhar will connect millions across the world to peace, purpose, and positivity.”
Spread across 25 acres, the Shanti Shikhar Academy features expansive meditation halls, eco-friendly dormitories, and solar-powered facilities, symbolising the blend of spirituality and sustainability.
PM Modi inaugurated the academy alongside Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Brahma Kumaris chief Dadi Ratan Mohini, who presented him with a symbolic lotus.
As the hall resonated with chants of “Om Shanti,” PM Modi concluded, “Shanti Shikhar is not just a structure—it is a movement for world peace. The Brahma Kumaris’ spiritual power, where words transform into action, will continue to guide humanity toward light and harmony.”
The inauguration, coinciding with Chhattisgarh’s silver jubilee celebrations, drew delegates from several countries, underscoring India’s growing global influence through its message of spirituality and peace.
