PM Modi Slams Abdullahs, Muftis, Gandhis: ‘Fear and Anarchy’ No Longer Control J&K

BJP Bridging Hearts, Ending Dynastic Politics in J&K, Says PM Modi in Fiery Srinagar Speech

SRINAGAR, Sept 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a public rally in Srinagar, launched a scathing attack on the Abdullah, Mufti, and Gandhi families, accusing them of bringing only fear and anarchy to Jammu and Kashmir. He claimed that these political dynasties believed it was their birthright to capture power at any cost, depriving the people of the region of their legitimate rights. “For decades, the political agenda of these three families has been to control power and loot the people. They have kept Jammu and Kashmir in a constant state of fear and instability,” PM Modi stated.

He emphasized that the grip of these families over the region is loosening as the local youth are now challenging their authority. “The youth whom they never allowed to prosper are now rising up against them,” Modi remarked, indicating a significant shift in the region’s political landscape.

The Prime Minister also criticized Congress, the National Conference (NC), and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for sowing divisions within the state, while asserting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is working to unite the people and reduce the long-standing divide between the hearts of Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi. “While Congress, NC, and PDP created divisions, the BJP is uniting everyone. We are bridging the gap between ‘Dil’ (hearts) and Delhi,” Modi said.

Highlighting the damage these political families caused to the faith of the youth in democracy, Modi pointed out that their control over the region had disillusioned the younger generation. He accused the families of deliberately stalling local elections for panchayats, block development councils (BDC), and district development councils (DDC) to prevent new leaders from emerging.

“They believed that if these elections were held, new political voices would rise, threatening their family dominance. This caused the youth to lose faith in the democratic process, thinking that no matter what, these families would always come to power,” he explained. However, Modi added that the situation is now changing, as the youth of Jammu and Kashmir realize that their vote can indeed bring real change and challenge the entrenched political elite.

He concluded by expressing confidence in the growing political awareness among the region’s youth, stating that Jammu and Kashmir is now on a path where dynastic rule will no longer be the norm, as democracy takes deeper root.
