PM Modi Slams INC, Calls It ‘Muslim League-Maoist Cong’ for Allegedly Defaming India

Rally in Ajmer: Modi Condemns INC’s Actions as Attempt to Tarnish India’s Image

JAIPUR, Feb 28: Launching a scathing attack on the Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday described the party as a “Muslim League-Maoist Congress” (MMC), accusing it of attempting to malign India wherever it can. The remarks came in the context of the Indian Youth Congress’s “shirtless protest” at the India AI Impact Summit in Delhi.

Addressing a rally at Kayad Vishram Sthal in Ajmer, Modi drew parallels between the Congress and the Muslim League, citing the latter’s role in India’s Partition. “The Congress is now acting in a similar manner, trying to defame India in front of foreign dignitaries,” he said.

The prime minister criticized the opposition for what he called a deliberate attempt to create embarrassment during an event that showcased India’s achievements in technology. “While our nation felt pride, the Congress staged a drama aimed at tarnishing the country’s image,” Modi added.

He also compared the Congress to Maoists, saying both resent India’s growth, democracy, and Constitution. “Maoists carry out ambush attacks, while Congress intrudes wherever it can to malign the nation,” he stated, asserting that the country will not forgive such acts.

Modi emphasized that the Congress has consistently opposed initiatives that benefit India and highlighted how its leaders amplify false narratives against the country and its armed forces. “Our forces have earned global recognition, yet the Congress chooses to undermine them. This is why the nation is teaching the Congress a lesson today,” he said.

The prime minister was in Ajmer to inaugurate development projects worth over Rs 16,600 crore, but he dedicated significant portions of his speech to criticizing the Congress and its youth wing.
