New Delhi, Jan 10 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said he is eager to engage with young leaders from across India at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue 2.0, scheduled for January 12 in Delhi. He emphasised the central role of youth in building a strong and prosperous India.
In a post on social media platform X, PM Modi described India’s youth as a driving force behind the nation’s aspirations. “Our youth power, filled with amazing enthusiasm and unparalleled zeal, is committed to a strong and prosperous nation. I am extremely eager to engage in dialogue with my young counterparts from across the country in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue,” he wrote.
The dialogue forms part of the government’s broader initiative to involve young Indians in shaping the vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) as the country approaches its centenary of Independence in 2047. The programme aims to provide a platform for young leaders, innovators, and change-makers to share ideas, discuss policy challenges, and contribute suggestions on national development priorities.
Over the years, the Modi government has consistently emphasised youth-led development, positioning young Indians as partners in governance and nation building. Flagship programmes such as Startup India, Skill India, and Digital India have been designed to harness the demographic dividend, promote entrepreneurship, and encourage innovation among the youth.
The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue is expected to focus on critical topics including education, employment, innovation, governance reforms, and inclusive growth, with participants drawn from diverse regions and backgrounds. The Prime Minister’s interaction is aimed at directly connecting with young voices and incorporating their perspectives into India’s long-term development roadmap.
