Rajouri/Surnakote, June 19: BJP MP Rajya Sabha Er. Gulam Ali Khatana today chaired a number of programmes in district Rajouri and Poonch as part of the month-long 9 Saal Bemisal campaign to highlight the achievements of the Narendra Modi-led BJP government.
Addressing an impressive gathering of prominent persons at Muradpur here, Er. Gulam Ali said that previous governments believed in the divide-and-rule policy of Britishers and acted as aristocrats but the election of Sh. Narendra Modi as Prime Minister of India has not gone well with the dynastic parties. “They (Opposition parties) tried to demean and deride PM Narendra Modi by calling him names but PM proved his mettle by ushering in an era of development, peace, and prosperity in the country,” said Er. Gulam Ali.
He said that during eight years of Prime Ministership of Sh. Narendra Modi India has new heights and innovative ideas like Make in India, Startups, implementation of have been implemented and borders have been secured. No major act of terrorism has happened and separatists and terrorists are on the run.
MP Khatana asked the officers to take PRIs along while framing the developmental projects so that those working on grassroots to contribute their wisdom.
He said that bureaucracy and public representation are two pillars of the democratic setup and must work together in the same direction.
