PM Modi Highlights Global Peace and Anti-Terror Cooperation in Joint Media Address with Canadian PM

New Delhi, Mar 02 : Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed the media alongside Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, emphasizing the urgent need for global cooperation against terrorism, extremism, and radicalization. He underscored that these challenges are not confined to individual nations but pose a threat to humanity as a whole.

PM Modi stressed that democratic nations must work closely to uphold global peace and stability. Highlighting rising tensions in West Asia, he reiterated India’s commitment to dialogue and diplomacy as the primary means of resolving conflicts and assured that the Indian government is actively coordinating with concerned countries to safeguard Indian citizens in the region.

In response, Canadian Prime Minister Carney thanked Modi for his warm hospitality and highlighted the strengthening India-Canada partnership. He pointed to their discussions at the G7 Summit in Alberta and the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, describing the relationship as an expansion of a valued collaboration with renewed focus. Carney praised India’s rapid economic growth, advancements in clean energy, digital initiatives, biofuel projects, and leadership in next-generation AI talent, calling India one of the world’s fastest growing economies.
