New Delhi, 12-03-2024 : Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, along with his entire cabinet, submitted their resignations on Tuesday morning after a meeting with Governor Bandaru Dattareya. This development comes amidst speculation of a potential rift within the ruling alliance over seat-sharing agreements for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha election.
Sources indicate that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), holding 40 seats in the 90-member Assembly, remains confident in its ability to form the government, buoyed by anticipated support from independent MLAs. Previously, the BJP had governed through a post-poll alliance with Dushyant Chautala’s Jannayak Janata Party (JJP).
The resignation of Chief Minister Khattar and his cabinet marks a significant political development in Haryana, with the state poised for potential realignment and recalibration of political alliances.
