Prashant Kishor Slams Rahul Gandhi: “Has No Role in Bihar’s Development or Issues”

Jan Suraaj founder accuses Congress leader of visiting Bihar only during elections, prioritising seat negotiations over state welfare.

New DElhi, Oct 22 : Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor on Tuesday criticised Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over his absence in Bihar’s Assembly elections, accusing him of being involved only to pressurise the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for more seats.

Speaking to ANI, Kishor said Rahul Gandhi has no real connection to Bihar or its development and claimed his involvement is temporary. “Rahul Gandhi was active only to put pressure on the RJD to secure a few more seats. He has nothing to do with Bihar, Bihar’s development, or its problems. If he doesn’t get a seat, he’ll sit in Delhi. He’ll come only during elections, hold three or four rallies, and for him, Bihar’s story is finished,” Kishor said.

He further warned the people of Bihar about leaders who appear only during elections. “Bihar should worry about people like Modi or Rahul Gandhi who come at election time, mislead the public, take their votes, and leave. After that, the state and its people will face the consequences for five years,” he added.

The upcoming 2025 Bihar Assembly elections will see a contest primarily between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Mahagathbandhan. The NDA includes the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), and Rashtriya Lok Morcha. The Mahagathbandhan, led by the RJD, comprises the Congress, CPI (ML), CPI, CPM, and Vikasheel Insaan Party (VIP).

Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj has also staked claims on all 243 seats in the state. Polling is scheduled for November 6 and 11, with results to be declared on November 14.
