President of India On 2-Day Visit To Jammu And Kashmir From Wednesday

10-10-2023 : President Droupadi Murmu is set to commence a significant two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, starting from Wednesday. This visit holds paramount importance as it underscores the President’s engagement with various aspects of the region’s culture, education, and spirituality.

Upon her arrival in Srinagar on October 11, President Murmu will be the esteemed guest at the 20th convocation of the prestigious University of Kashmir. This academic event serves as a testament to her commitment to higher education and the development of intellectual capital in the region.

Furthermore, the President will actively engage with the local community by interacting with members of local tribal groups and women associated with self-help groups at Raj Bhavan. This outreach underscores her focus on grassroots empowerment and the promotion of self-sufficiency among marginalized sections of society.
