New Delhi: Punjab Kings have revealed their new jersey for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League 2026, keeping the franchise’s signature red and blue colours while introducing subtle design changes.
The updated kit features a lion emblem at the centre that blends into diamond-shaped patterns across the fabric. According to the franchise, the lion symbolises instinct, aggression and natural talent, while the diamonds represent how raw ability is refined through preparation, performance systems and the demands of elite competition.
The side, led by captain Shreyas Iyer and coached by former Australian captain Ricky Ponting, will wear the new jersey for the first time in their opening match against Gujarat Giants on March 31 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh PCA Stadium.
Punjab Kings enter the new season after finishing runners up in IPL 2025, where they lost the final to Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
In preparation for the season, the squad conducted a five-day training camp in Udaipur from January 16 to 20 before travelling to the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium for another camp between February 8 and 14. The team is currently holding a pre-season training session in Dharamsala, which will also serve as their second home venue during the tournament.
Following their opening fixture, PBKS will travel to Chennai to face Chennai Super Kings at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium on April 3. They will then meet Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens on April 6 before returning home for a clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad.
