Pushpa 3: Allu Arjun Gears Up for 2028 Release; Vijay Deverakonda Rumoured as New Villain

Pre-production begins quietly Vijay Deverakonda rumoured to join as antagonist ahead of tentative 2028 release

Mumbai, Jan 15 : Allu Arjun is far from slowing down after the blockbuster success of the Pushpa franchise. Following the massive response to Pushpa: The Rise (2021) and Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024), the much-anticipated third installment is now gradually moving from speculation to reality.

According to industry reports, pre-production work on Pushpa 3 has quietly begun. Director Sukumar is expected to fully dive into the project once he completes his ongoing film with Ram Charan. An exclusive office has reportedly been set up in Hyderabad to kickstart script development, story discussions, and planning sessions.

Despite the early movement, Allu Arjun remains busy with a packed lineup. He is committed to completing three major projects before officially stepping into Pushpa 3. These include collaborations with Atlee (AA22), Lokesh Kanagaraj (AA23), and Trivikram (AA24). The actor recently confirmed his project with Lokesh Kanagaraj during Bhogi celebrations on January 14, 2026, further fueling fan excitement.

Tentatively titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage, the film is rumoured to target a 2028 release, provided production progresses smoothly. The narrative is expected to raise the stakes significantly, with Pushpa Raj returning to reclaim and defend his red sandalwood empire amid intensified conflicts and betrayals.

Adding to the buzz, actor Vijay Deverakonda is reportedly in talks to play the new antagonist, potentially replacing Fahadh Faasil’s character, whose arc concluded in the previous film. While no official confirmation has been made, the possibility of a high-voltage face-off has already sparked excitement among fans.

With Sukumar’s signature storytelling and Allu Arjun’s commanding screen presence, Pushpa 3 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious chapters of the franchise.
