Rahul Gandhi ready to take a bullet for nation, says Priyanka

Vadra reminds Modi of the sacrifices of past Prime Ministers, urges him to listen to people

30-04-2023 : Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress General Secretary, responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks about verbal abuse by suggesting that one must be prepared to face such attacks in public life. She further advised Modi to learn from her brother Rahul Gandhi, who is willing to take a bullet for the sake of the country.

During a public meeting in Bagalkote district, Vadra commented on Modi’s statement, in which he accused the Congress party of hurling abuses at him. She pointed out that the list of 91 abuses by the Congress party could fit on one page, whereas if they were to list the abuses aimed at her family, they could publish multiple books about it.

Vadra mentioned that she has seen many Prime Ministers in the past, including Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, P V Narsimha Rao, and Manmohan Singh, who have all worked hard and made sacrifices for the country. However, Modi is the first Prime Minister she has seen who comes before the public and complains about being abused.

Mocking Modi, she said that someone in his office had made a list of the people who had abused the Prime Minister, instead of focusing on the people’s issues. Vadra urged Modi to learn from her brother Rahul Gandhi, who stands for truth and is prepared to face any challenge, including abuse, bullets, or knives.

Finally, Vadra reminded Modi that public life requires courage, and one must be prepared to bear such attacks. She also advised him to listen to the voice of the people.
