JAMMU: Taranjit Singh Tony, Chairman Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu and Kashmir for Administrative Engagement and Minority Affairs, and District Development Council (DDC) Member Suchetgarh today emphasized that the targeting killings in Rajouri is an alarming bell for the BJP Government at the Centre to act. He asked the Central Government to immediately appoint some political advisors to tackle the present situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Expressing condolence over this tragic loss of lives in terror act in district Rajouri, the senior AAP leader hit out at BJP Government at the Centre for not doing enough to provide security to minorities in the Valley. He said that except rhetoric and self-praise, BJP leadership has learned nothing because it is strange that despite spurt in targeted killings, the BJP leaders both at the centre and in J&K are busy in boasting about their achievements which are invisible as only these so-called people’s representatives of BJP are able to notice the same.
Tony said that the bureaucracy in Jammu and Kashmir has miserably failed to handle the present situation. They have failed to protect the innocent lives as the present situation is alarming for ruling Govt at the Centre. He asked the central dispensation to appoint some Political Advisors till the elections are conducted in the state.
“It has become extremely difficult for a common man to have an access to bureaucrats as they have completely locked their doors and not meeting with general public as they have time scheduled for breakfast, lunch and tea but unfortunately they have no time for listening to plights of general public,” he said, adding that the people has become helpless as they are moving from post to pillar to seek justice but to no avail.
Tony said that militancy is increasing in J&K in manifolds after the BJP has started ruling J&K through its elected Government or its proxy Government and the tragic part of administration in the scenario of rising militancy was that the Government warning PM package employees to resume their duties and become sitting ducks for the militancy for selective killings.
Tony appealed to the PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to have a major reshuffle of civil admin at Secretariat level as it has completely failed to reach out to the general public. He said it’s only on the day of some inaugurations where you can meet and see these bureaucrats as all other days they are sitting in their cozy and heated rooms.
