Jammu, 26-01-2024: The Republic Day function organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Nationalist People’s Front (JK NPF) at Nagrota, Jammu, was a significant event attended by prominent leaders and Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI) members from Nagrota. The occasion was marked by the unfurling of the national flag by JK NPF President Sheikh Muzaffar and Senior Vice-President Rakesh Kumar Koul. The diverse gathering included men, women, and children from the local area.
During the event, President Sheikh Muzaffar shed light on the historical events of India’s freedom struggle, emphasizing the role of the Constitution of India as the culmination of that struggle. He highlighted the importance of protecting and safeguarding the Constitution, considering it a priceless asset. The Constitution, he noted, guarantees essential rights such as the right to equality, freedom of religion, and freedom of speech.
Senior Vice-President Rakesh Kumar Koul, in his address, outlined the objectives of the JK NPF. He articulated the party’s commitment to a violence-free, corruption-free, and drug-free Jammu and Kashmir. The underlying philosophy of the party, as mentioned by Mr. Koul, revolves around the principles of “unity in diversity,” emphasizing the importance of unity, love, brotherhood, and peace in the region.
