NEW DELHI, Aug 8: Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited Ramayana is set to reach international audiences two days ahead of its release in India, producer Namit Malhotra has confirmed.
The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, has emerged as one of the most anticipated Indian productions of 2026, with considerable attention surrounding its scale, visual presentation and adaptation of the epic.
Malhotra’s announcement about the overseas release schedule adds another significant development to the film’s theatrical plans. The decision will allow audiences in international markets to experience the movie before its domestic opening.
The project has been closely followed since details about its ambitious production began emerging, with Kapoor’s portrayal of Lord Ram becoming a major point of interest among fans.
Directed by Tiwari, the film is being mounted on a large scale and is expected to bring the ancient epic to the screen through a contemporary cinematic treatment.
The early international rollout is likely to further raise global interest in the production ahead of its Indian release.
