Mumbai: Anticipation for “Ramayana” continues to soar months ahead of its theatrical release, with the makers hosting an exclusive event that offered fans and digital creators a rare look into the making of the ambitious film.

According to social media posts from attendees, the special gathering featured previously unseen behind-the-scenes footage from the two-part epic. Adding to the excitement, lead actors Ranbir Kapoor and Yash made surprise appearances and spent time interacting with guests.

Images circulating online showed Yash warmly greeting fans and posing for photographs, while Ranbir Kapoor was seen engaging in conversations and clicking pictures with attendees during the intimate meet-and-greet session.

One of the standout moments from the showcase was reportedly the unveiling of actor Kunal Kapoor’s look as Lord Indra. Attendees praised the visual scale and detailing of the footage, with many describing the presentation as one of the most impressive glimpses of the project so far.

The event marks another step in the film’s growing promotional campaign. The latest fan engagement initiative has also sparked speculation that the makers could unveil a new trailer or major promotional asset in the coming weeks, though no official confirmation has been issued.

Meanwhile, trade circles remain abuzz over the film’s business prospects. Reports suggest producer Namit Malhotra is in discussions with leading distribution companies for the domestic theatrical release of the two-part saga. The makers are reportedly seeking Rs 450 crore for the Hindi theatrical rights, and even a deal in the Rs 300-400 crore range could set a new benchmark for the Hindi film industry.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, “Ramayana” stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The first instalment is slated for release during the Diwali festive season.
