19-03-2023 : Rangshala Theatre Group of Society, Jammu staged Nukkad Natak “NASHA MUKTI” at Manda Zoo Park, Mubarak Mandi and Rani Park, Jammu. Organised by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, Jammu and directed by Madam Veena DograVeteran Lady Actor/Director of J&K UT, nukkad natak was written by Sh. Umesh Singh. Staging of play at three places was a great success, a great applause received by the actors of RTGS from the audience presented at the three venues.
Play Nasha Mukti depicts that how consuming of alcohols and other drugs products which are being smuggled into the country is destroying the health of the youngsters. How in a family Grandfather consuming Alcohal day and night, his only son is injecting the banned drugs and more over his Grand Son who is a teenager, also addicted to the drugs and alcohals. Whole family is living a miserable life. Consumption of banned drugs ruins the lives of lakhs of people, one has to understand that alcohol and banned drugs only show the way to GRAVE. In the play it is also depicted not to cut the Green Gold which is essential for human beings. The stress was also given to the noise pollution which is creating a havoc to the lives of thousands. We all have to understand that Life is very much precious for our loved ones. Actors acting in the Nukkad Play got standing ovation from the audience presented at the three venues. Actors participated in the successful performance of Nasha Mukti were Chanchal Dogra, Amarjeet Kour, Nazuk Bhagat, Gautam Singh, Prity Chanjotra, Ashok Kumar, Kart Avya and Umesh Singh. Madam Chanchal Dogra thanked the audience for sparing their valuable time and she also thanked Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu for giving opportunity to the group to stage such a play which is a lesson for all.
