Red Fort Blast Case: NIA Raids Forest Area in Anantnag, J&K

Dr Adeel Rather, Jasir Bilal Wani lead NIA to Mattan forest hideouts as investigation into Delhi blast deepens

SRINAGAR, Dec 9: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted targeted searches on Tuesday in the Mattan forest area of Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir, as part of its ongoing investigation into the November 10 Red Fort blast in Delhi.

NIA officials, assisted by Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF personnel, brought along two accused linked to the “white collar” terror module Dr Adeel Rather and Jasir Bilal Wani. The duo reportedly revealed information about forest hideouts used in connection with the module.

Officials said further details of the searches and any evidence recovered are awaited, as the probe continues to unravel the network behind the Delhi blast.
