Jammu, august 2- Prime Minister Narendra Modi should announce restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir and go for elections to the state assembly at the earliest, demanded All parties United Morcha in a meeting today.
A joint meeting of Congress, NC, PDP CPIM, and IDP was held today in Jammu under the chairmanship of veteran politician Sheikh Abdul Rehman EX -MP & attended by authorized leaders of these political parties and other social organizations today morning. It was demanded that statehood is the right of every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir and it was arbitrarily snatched from us on August 5, 2019. As a first step towards the restoration of trust amongst the people, statehood should be restored without any further delay. The PM should announce it on this year’s independence day if the BJP government is sincere to restore the confidence of the people, the meeting said.
