ROHTAK, Oct 19: Residents of Rohtak are set to witness a spectacular aerial presentation of the Ramayana featuring 300 illuminated drones on October 20, as part of a grand Sanatani Sammelan to be attended by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
The event will take place at the Old Sugar Mill Ground, opposite the New Grain Market, where advanced drone technology will bring significant episodes from the epic to life. The formations will portray key moments from Lord Ram’s life, including his battle with Ravana.
The aerial spectacle is expected to be a major attraction of the Dussehra celebrations, combining technological innovation with religious traditions and cultural expression.
The programme will also feature devotional music and performances by artists associated with the film Hanuman Ansh. The Keshav team from Mathura will present devotional songs, adding to the spiritual atmosphere of the gathering.
Anticipating a large turnout, the district administration has begun preparations to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. Arrangements are being made for security, traffic management, sanitation and essential public amenities to facilitate visitors.
Deputy Commissioner Satbir Singh and Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rajpurohit inspected the venue on Monday evening and assessed the preparations alongside senior officials.
During the inspection, they instructed the departments concerned to coordinate their efforts and ensure adequate security measures, orderly traffic movement, cleanliness and convenient facilities for attendees.
The event is expected to bring together residents and visitors for an evening celebrating the Ramayana through a combination of drone technology, devotional performances and traditional cultural activities.
