Nagrota, 15 December 2024: The Annual Ex-Boys’ Meet of Sainik School Nagrota unfolded in a grand celebration of nostalgia, camaraderie, and shared memories at the school auditorium. The event drew an enthusiastic turnout of alumni, accompanied by their families and children, eager to reconnect with their cherished alma mater and relive the formative years that shaped their lives.
The event began with a warm welcome from Capt. Shibu Devasia, the principal, whose introductory address set a heartfelt tone for the gathering. A vibrant cultural program by the cadets added an artistic flair to the occasion. Highlights included a captivating fusion dance, a socially impactful nukkad natak, a traditional Nepali dance, and a spellbinding musical performance by the school’s acclaimed band, The Decibel.
A key highlight of the meet was the Silver Jubilee celebration of the 1992-99 batch. Representing their peers, the jubilarians expressed deep gratitude to the institution for its profound impact on their lives. The batch also presented mementos to the school as a token of appreciation for its continued excellence.
Brig Gurmeet Singh Shan, President of NEXAS (the alumni association), addressed the gathering with words of encouragement and pride. He took the opportunity to recognize the outstanding performance of the outgoing Class XII cadets in the UPSC NDA Written Examination, presenting them with tokens of appreciation for their remarkable achievements.
