Samsung Set to Unveil Galaxy S26 FE at August 27 Event

The new Fan Edition smartphone is expected to bring updated hardware and artificial intelligence features to Samsung’s Galaxy lineup.

New Delhi, Aug 27: Samsung is set to hold a Galaxy event on Thursday, with the company expected to introduce the Galaxy S26 FE as it expands its latest smartphone series with a new Fan Edition model.

The device has attracted attention ahead of the event, with reports pointing to improvements in camera capabilities, artificial intelligence features and software compared with its predecessor.

The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to feature Samsung’s Exynos 2500 processor and a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, according to reports ahead of the launch. A 4,900mAh battery has also been tipped for the device.

The Fan Edition range is designed to offer several features associated with Samsung’s premium Galaxy smartphones at a comparatively accessible price point.

AI is expected to remain a major focus of the new model as smartphone manufacturers increasingly integrate generative and on-device intelligence into everyday functions, including photography, productivity and user assistance.

Samsung’s latest launch comes amid intense competition in the premium and upper-midrange smartphone segments, where manufacturers are increasingly differentiating devices through software capabilities rather than hardware specifications alone.

The company had announced the August 27 Galaxy event earlier this month, building anticipation around the next addition to the S26 family.
